Strawberry & Red Fruits Bavaroise

Taking advantage of the strawberry season and the fact that we were attending two birthday parties the past weekend I decided to bake something easy, wonderfully scented and tasty and that would please our kind hosts and their guests. This is a delicous, refreshing and  light dessert  that I garantee you will pove irresistible!

Ingredients:
  •  300gr of  strawberries
  •  100gr sugar
  • ½ dl milk
  • 3 sheets of gelatine
  • 200ml of whipped cream with 3 tablespoons sugar

Cut the strawberries into small pieces and reduce them to puree. Add sugar and let it boil for 5 minutes - stirring in the meantime. Remove from heat, let cool and add the milk.
Place the gelatine sheets for 2 minute soaked  in cold water, then drain them and bring to medium heat until melted. Add the melted gelatin to the mixture and add the whipped cream with 3 tablespoons sugar. Put the red fruits at the bottom of a small bowl to cool until it solididifies (preferably overnight). Garnish with red fruits and serve chilled.

 Ingredientes:

Shrimp & Sea Food Omelette

Mostly I eat out during the week, often at my workplace and seldom at the restaurant, but whenever I have the chance I drop by my place to have a home cooked meal, even if it is as quick as this seafood omelette, that is equally tasty and satisfying. It requires no handy skills, only fresh and good ingredients!

Ingredients [for 2]:

  • shrimp
  • sea fruits
  • a pinch of salt
  • chili
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 eggs
  • parsley
  • cheese from the Azores "Queijo da Ilha"
  • garlic
  • onion

Put the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the shrimp and the sea fruit, seasoned with chopped onion, garlic, chili and a pinch of salt. I a bowl mix the eggs with the parsley and beat well. Add the cheese . Pour this dough over the frying pan and let cook. Serve hot.
